Especially who was who, which planes were which and what was going on! Also I really didn't like how they left us hanging with the love story in the movie. I actually wanted to see how she would react to her boyfriend after the burn! I thought the special effects were pretty cool for a movie made in the 60's, and I liked the way they filmed it.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11192847613264618427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5662418393634164280.post-87116602670059823862010-11-09T19:39:13.907-08:002010-11-09T19:39:13.907-08:00Considering the film was made in the 60s, I feel t...Considering the film was made in the 60s, I feel that it was very well done. The amount of explosions and fight scenes were of very high quality considering that the producers did not have the type of special effects that we have today. Also, the information was fairly accurate to what actually happened.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16677544108386851238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5662418393634164280.post-86505812022556273862010-11-07T23:05:34.633-08:002010-11-07T23:05:34.633-08:00I agree with Edward that the film is well made, an...I agree with Edward that the film is well made, and what is surprising is the level of historical accuracy. Other than a couple of historical bloopers, such as listing Israeli as a nationality for one of the pilots (Israel wasn't created until 1949, which was nine years after the Battle of Britain), everything else relates to the actual event flawlessly.lineffecthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15128550565195528404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5662418393634164280.post-8072308715945041352010-11-07T21:27:28.138-08:002010-11-07T21:27:28.138-08:00The movie was extremely well made. If a wing gets caught in the film by accident or a plane flys off somewhere, the scene has to be redone. They didn't have computers back then so special effects couldn't eliminate it (remember the 'explosions' that were done later..)

-Matthew LauMatthewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04508312098077203445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5662418393634164280.post-63861654001030531062010-11-03T21:28:40.128-07:002010-11-03T21:28:40.128-07:00I agree with Denis, but the reason for the blanks ...I agree with Denis, but the reason for the blanks fired could be due to multiple scenes being shot multiple times which gives a reasonable explanation.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03687659858638116139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5662418393634164280.post-61135960936238314752010-11-02T07:53:08.366-07:002010-11-02T07:53:08.366-07:00A short review

For example, cooking oil was injected into the engine to simulate the white vapor trails from damaged aircraft engines. Also, more blanks were used in the film than in the real Battle of Britain. Overall, I found the film interesting and some parts extremely entertaining especially when the special effect explosions failed or when a burning London looked more like a lava field than a mass of burning buildings.Denishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14605158195196402752noreply@blogger.com
